Woodland photography

These are some of the digital photos I took using my mobile phone in the woods yesterday. I also took some with my matchbox pinhole camera but haven't got these developed yet.

     

Trying to capture something of the mood and light qualities.

This is the first verse of a hymn/song I came across. I haven't a clue who wrote it but it sums up some of my own feeling towards woodland environments.

I think God gave the woods to us,

That we might steal away,

Alone to those green solitudes,

From all the noise of day,

I think God gave the woods to us,

To teach our souls to pray.
