While browsing the web today I came across the
Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World . I had never heard of it before but having read about it I would really like to visit. Starting in June there will be a series of events about 'Fashion, Textiles and the Environment'. It starts with an exhibition of The work of
Lucy Orta, an artist working across different disciplines creating works on the subjects of environment and social activism.
'Portable Pelt' 2009 by Tara Baoth Mooney , curator of Fashion Footprints (see below)
Following that they have planned a project called 'Fashion Footprints: Sustainable Approaches' in collaboration with London College of Fashion. This looks to be an interesting project which will explore human relationship and interaction with environment and nature through the use of sustainable approaches to fashion.
